Rebuilt Ringgears

Transgear has been rebuilding ringgear teeth since 1994. We are the original guys who researched into the correct materials to provide a successful repair job that will last.

This service has benefited the motor trade for many years as a lot of ringgears have since become obsolete, to expensive to replace or just the long wait for an overseas order.

During our months of research and testing a typical ringgear had a hardness of 36-38 on the Rockwell scale, whereas our rebuilt ringgears will have a Rockwell hardness of up to 45, so it's all good news.

We can normally have your repair completed and ready for pick-up in 24 Hrs, meanwhile it is important that your starter motor is checked for correct operation, eg: pinion tooth condition, bush wear, corrrect pinion distance away from ringgear etc, these areas can sometimes be overlooked which can compromise the correct pinion engagement and damage the new ringgear tooth repair.

Together with the correct engagement from your starter motor, you will get far more mileage from our ringgear repair due to the higher degree of work hardness.
